HIDIZS ST2 PRO Review -Obscure Mics

It’s Mark, and today I’ve got a really interesting review for you. This is the ST2 Pro from Heidis, a pair of in-ear monitors with a DAC chip in the USB-C port. This is a unique offering, especially considering the Kickstarter price: $39 for the first 500 units, and $49 after that.

The sound quality is impressive for the price. With support for 32-bit at 384 kHz, the ES9281AC Pro DAC offers a 118 dB signal-to-noise ratio and a 122 dB dynamic range. The bass is good, though not for heavy bass lovers, and the highs are crisp, though occasionally a bit harsh. The mids aren’t boosted, but they’re not scooped either.

The package includes the braided USB-C cable, an adapter to USB-A, and a leather pouch. Build quality is decent, and the earphones are lightweight, though the tips aren’t the best. If you have your own tips, I’d recommend using those.

For the price, this is an excellent product. If you’re into in-ear monitors with a DAC and want something easy to use, you won’t find anything better at this price.
