AudioMonsta reviewer Edmund sees the MS2 PRO as a distinctly different take on HIDIZS tuning. Rather than a smoother presentation, he hears a neutral-bright, mildly V-shaped signature built around clarity, speed and energetic highs.
Solid Build, Serious Weight
Edmund praises the ZA12 zinc-alloy construction, mirror finish and distinctive rhino-inspired styling. The shells feel robust and well crafted, although their substantial weight makes them less suitable for workouts.
The supplied cable is thin but soft, pliable and practical outdoors. Edmund also finds the pouch soft and high quality, though he notes that it does not really provide impact protection.
Three pneumatic tuning nozzles alter the presentation. His personal favorite is the black nozzle for its thicker, more enjoyable character, but his review listening was conducted using the stock red nozzle.
Clarity Takes Priority
With the red nozzle, Edmund describes the MS2 PRO as neutral-bright with a mild V-shaped balance. Its presentation is clinical and revealing, with fast transients, strong imaging and excellent overall clarity.
Bass is boosted but controlled, delivering a tight slam and enough speed for busy tracks. He hears no bloat or bleed, with good texture and transparency. It has authority and deep sub-bass, but the quantity is not intended for bassheads.
The midrange is neutral, spacious and highly detailed, though mildly recessed by the stronger lows and highs. Female vocals benefit from added brilliance, while deeper male vocals and some lower-pitched instruments can lack body and sound thin.
Treble Leads the Presentation
High frequencies are the dominant area for Edmund. He hears strong sparkle, crispness, extension and air alongside excellent detail. The timbre remains relatively natural with minimal metallic character. However, the intensity makes the MS2 PRO unsuitable for treble-sensitive listeners, and Edmund warns that bright sources can introduce sibilance and fatigue.
The stage has good width but mediocre height and can feel somewhat intimate because of its forward presentation. Imaging is accurate and holographic, while separation is strong. Edmund nevertheless notices some space between the bass and highs, describing cohesion as slightly behind a single-dynamic presentation.
Overall Assessment
Edmund rates the MS2 PRO four out of five stars and considers it a clear step forward from the original MS2 in both build and sound. He recommends it particularly for listeners who value abundant detail, clarity, energetic treble, critical listening and accurate imaging.
Those seeking thick mids, laid-back highs, basshead-level quantity or a highly immersive presentation may be less satisfied. Its heavy shells are another consideration. For listeners who enjoy a clinical, neutral-bright signature, however, Edmund sees the MS2 PRO as a flexible, easy-to-drive and competitively priced IEM with strong technical ability for everyday portable listening and monitoring.
